ARVC Diagnosis

Diagnosis of ARVC (Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy) according to the 2010 revised task force criteria (Marcus et al.). The task force criteria combine characteristic features of ARVC from 6 disparate domains to determine the presence or absence of ARVC diagnosis.

RV Structural Changes:
Presence of regional RV wall motion abnormalities or aneurysm?

Global RV Systolic Function:

Tissue Characterization:
Residual myocites by morphometric analysis on endomyocardial biopsy:

Repolarization abnormalities:
Presence of right bundle branch block?

T-Wave Inversions:

Depolarization abnormalities:
Presence of an Epsilon wave (V1-V3)?

Terminal Activation Delay (TAD) 55 ms?

Arrhythmias:
Sustained or Non-sustained Ventricular Tachycardia?

> 500 PVCs per 24 hours on Ambulatory Monitoring?

Family History:
Family history of TFC Confirmed ARVC in a 1st degree relative?

Pathogenic/Likely Pathogenic Variant in ARVC-associated gene?

Family history of TFC Confirmed ARVC in a 2nd degree relative?

Unexplained SCD in a 1st degree relative at age < 35 years?
